There is a reality show on the air that is changing people’s lives. People on the show are obese and they are taught how to change their life for the better. The Biggest Loser shows the contestants the right way to lose the pounds and to keep them off. The premise behind the show is simple, take a group of about twenty contestants who are overweight and put them against each other to see who can learn how to lose weight fast and by the end of the season declare the person who has lost the highest weight percentage the winner. It is fun to watch the people lose the weight and easy for the viewer to feel empathy for those who are on the show. The fun in watching the show is the connection that is developed between the contestants and the viewers. One reason the contestants are able to succeed at losing the weight is the desire to be named the winner and to collect the cash prize that comes with it. Only one person ends up with the grand prize, so how are the others able too find the desire to keep dropping the pounds.

The people on the show are sent to a remote location where they can work the program. It is helpful for the contestants that they don’t have any distractions while they try to lose weight. There is also a fully equipped fitness center that the contestants have access to at all times. The people are given access to a kitchen where food is prepared that is good for the people on the show. It is not like they are at home working out in the basement doing a set of six pack ab exercises late at night in hopes of losing the weight, they have the best possible equipment, the right food and the right atmosphere to accomplish the feat. The contestants are divided into teams that are led by two trainers who design fitness regimens for each contestant. The trainers are the ones who make the contestants successful.

The training regimens that are followed by the contestants is based on what pro ballplayers use to get ready for a season. They think that the principles that are used to get someone ready to play pro sports can be adapted for use by anyone who wants to put forth the effort. When it is followed properly, the contestants are no put in any danger. Because of the strenuous nature of the training regimen, the people on the show are monitored by professional to ensure their safety. The medical conditions of the people on the show are carefully examined to prepare the trainers for any problems that may be faced when undergoing the training. The ranch also has some things that allow a severely overweight person to perform certain types of exercises in a safe manner. This equipment is designed to help reduce the stress on a person’s body as they exercise. One example of this type of equipment is a water treadmill that allows a person’s weight to be supported by water as they walk on a treadmill. All the effort put into the show by the support staff helps the contestants to lose a lot of weight.

There is also help for the viewers at home who want to lose weight because the show has set up a website called the biggest loser forum which has hints and tips for the viewers in addition to chat rooms where people can discuss the issues that surround weight loss with other people who are in similar situations. The person who wins on the title is not the only winner on the show, the viewer at home is also a winner if they join in on the fun. The benefits of not being obese and eating right and exercising regularly enables all of those who participate in the show to call themselves a biggest loser. The message of the show is very positive and it has helped a lot of people live a better life.
